Game Log
What's this?
The idea behind this segment is to keep a record of my experiences and thoughts about various games I play.I think it will be nice to take a look at them from time to time.
Game List
Monster Hunter World [PC]
Status: "Finished"
Playing since 2018
One of the most impressive games I've played. I bought a PS4 to play this game back in 2018, but I didn’t get hooked until I started playing through the Iceborne expansion during the pandemic. After around 800 hours I got all of the awards, but I still reinstall this game every couple of months to slay a few Fatalis.
Pokemon Leaf Green [Switch 2]
Status: "Finished"
Played Around March 2026
Despite having played this game multiple times and in a lot of different ways (Visual Boy Advance on PC, Bootleg cart on original hardware, emulated on my first android phone) this is the first time I’m playing this “officially”. I forgot how immersive these games were before the huge amounts of quality of life changes introduced in the newer entries.
Gran Turismo 7 [Playstation 5]
Status: Not Finished, is it even possible?
Played Around January 2026
My first GT experience was getting asleep after doing a couple of laps on my aunt’s copy of GT5 on PS3! What a boring game I guess… More than 10 years later, I see myself purchasing GT7 and enjoying my 20-30 hours with this game (which apparently is very few since I saw multiple people with 300h+ on PSN). Despite just playing with my dual sense this was one of the most immersive experiences I’ve had on a driving game, I’d love to try this with a steering wheel in the future.
Pokemon Legends Z-A [Switch 2]
Status: Finished the main story
Played Around January 2026
This was a gift from my gf. Bought the Switch 2 upgrade pack in order to play it in higher frame rate. Wow, this was really refreshing for a Pokemon game, the gameplay reminded me a lot of Xenoblade, but this one got kind of repetitive. Thank god it ender just at the right moment, I was getting kind of bored by the end. The best part? Fights against rogue megaevolutions where really hype, I also liked the different trainer mega evolution animations. However, for every cool trainer animation there’s also a lame “fade-to-black” transition. Overall I enjoyed this game anyway.
Kirby's Dream Course [SNES/NSO]
Status: Finished the main courses, can't handle EXTRA course yet lol
Playing since circa 2023
This is gotta be one of my top 10 Super Nintendo games, the soundtrack is really sweet too. First time I saw it was at a friend’s house, he was stoned af playing this game on an emulator website. Years later I remembered this game, saw it on NSO and the rest is history. This game can make me feel like an absolute genius, then two courses later I feel stupid again. Scoring a Hole in One is one of most rewarding feelings ever. I even bought a physical copy!
Mario Kart World [Switch 2]
Status: Still playing
Playing since June 2026
Nintendo Switch 2's launch title! (oh yeah and welcome tour I guess...), really good Mario Kart game, I really enjoyed how different the game feels after a decade of Mario Kart 8. Free Roam is fine but all of the rewards being stickers is lame. This game has some really great tracks but good luck getting them to appear in online play, most of the time you'll get Intermissions, hopefully this game gets better in the future, but it's a solid experience that will get better with time.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon [Switch]
Status: Finished
Played Around April 2023
Underrated game, nice visuals and soundtrack, the controls need some time to get used to but once it clicks, it's pretty fun. Short and sweet game (definetely NOT worth $60) but I highly recommend it! Get it before it appears on one of those "muh hidden gems" video and the price increases.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [Switch]
Status: Finished world of light, reached Elite Smash with around 12 characters, I play it from time to time
Playing since December 2018
I enjoy this game locally, and sometimes I enjoy this game online. The DLC reveals were hype but my enjoyment of this game got lower each time a Fighters Pass 2 character was released since I stopped playing it often enough to learn their gimmicks, older characters FEEL considerably weaker.
Pokemon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire [Game Boy Advance]
Status: That Spheal bonus game makes me feel stupid
Playing since quite a while
I play this game every few months since a few years ago, a personal must play whenever I set up a GBA emulator. Really addictive once you get the hang of it, but I can't bring myself to fill the Pokédex. Wish a new Pokemon Pinball game releases someday.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe [Switch]
Status: Finished
Playing since 2014
Technically a Wii U game I got back in 2014, my dad bought it for me as a gift. Wow! I have a lot of good memories of the original game and I played the hell out of it (Not like Wii U had a lot of games back then anyway…)
I bought MK8 Deluxe as soon as I could back in 2017, and played it a lot over the entire Switch's lifespan, never cared too much about the new battle mode, but it was the same greatly refined Mario Kart experience, still the best Mario kart in terms of accessibility and amount of content, I'd rather play this one instead of World if im doing 4 player split screen multiplayer. The soundtrack is great too, Flower Cup as always is the best cup.
Meme Run [Wii U]
Status: Ashamed
Played in 2014
Yeah this was a stupid but memorable purchase, I could’ve bought a Virtual Console game or something else. Back in the days of the “MLG” era of memes this came into my attention, so I bought it and got immediately blasted by the most annoying startup screen ever. Somehow after I lowered my TV’s volume I still played a couple of hours of this since it was kind of fun, like how a bad mobile game can be sort of fun. Months later it got delisted for some copyright issues iirc and it became sort of rare to own a Wii U with the game installed, Sadly I sold my original Wii U and access to my legit copy of this masterpiece.
Monster Hunter Tri [Wii]
Status: Dropped really early
Played in 2011
I think I got this game because I saw it on one of those “best graphics on Wii” videos back in the day as a kid…I even got a Classic Controller Pro beforehand to play it. I dropped it really early though, can’t remember if I even beat a Great Jaggi. I was NOT ready to play this apparently, and Monster Hunter was not the most accessible game back then. Sometimes I regret not getting into it because Loc Lac looked really cool, but it is what it is I guess.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate [Nintendo 3DS/Wii U]
Status: Pretty sure I played this all the way through endgame. I remember fighting the Abbysal Lagiacrus was one of the last quests. not really sure anymore
Played in 2013-2014
My actual first game on the Monster Hunter series, yes it beat the living shit out of me, controls were clunky at the beginning and the vertical camera worked on some fixed angles for some reason, but I have nothing but good memories from this game.
Huge game in terms of content for a 3DS game, you could tell it was the culmination of 3rd gen and it introduced Brachydios and the broken “Slime” element, along with other monsters like Lucent Nargacuga, Stygian Zinogre and Dire Miralis.
3DS was at it’s limit with this game and you can really notice it: fonts were hard to read at times, you pretty much needed a Circle Pad Pro to play underwater quests comfortably, and the 3DS version was limited to local multiplayer. All of these limitations were addressed with the Wii U version, which was pretty much the same game but this time with an online lobby system and the ability to share the same save file with 3DS. For the most part I played the 3DS version.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate [Nintendo 3DS]
Status: Pretty much did everything, High Rank, G Rank, Arena Quests, Lvl140 Guild Quest, etc.
Played around 2014-2016
My personal favorite “classic” Monster Hunter game, it introduced mounting, maps were more interesting and vertical movement was improved. Massive roster, multiple towns, and improved performance if you used a new 3DS. I spent hundreds of hours grinding through this game, High Rank, G rank, Arena Quests, Guild Quests, I even enjoyed those Level 140 Apex Rajang or Apex Deviljho Guild Quests for some reason, and learned about “HAME” in order to not get instantly kicked out of some rooms. Waiting for the Event Quests was hype but I remember a lot of cool ones were Japan exclusive, but overall I have nothing but good memories of this game.
I wish this game got rereleased someday, I’m sure I would enjoy the hell out of it all over again. I played like 800 hours of this and upgraded to a new 3DS just for this game. I have always thought I played this game so much that I could never fully get into Monster Hunter Generations after this.
Persona 5 [Playstation 3]
Status: Finished
Played it back in 2019
Fun and engaging RPG, once you get through the first few palaces and tutorials the game gets a lot better. Both music and art style are superb and make a great impression since the first time you boot the game. At times it felt too stereotypical and I wanted the game to end already in the last 10 or so hours, but overall it was a great game and an easy recommendation.
Persona 5 Strikers [Playstation 5]
Status: Finished, twice.
Played in 2021
This is gotta be the least “Warriors” Warriors game, its more of an Action RPG than anything. Great soundtrack, engaging combat, terrible antialiasing, and multiple characters with different playstyles make this an easy recommendation IF you played Persona 5 since its a direct sequel. Played this both on Switch and PS5, where I got the platinum trophy.
Counter Strike 2 [PC]
Status: I can't leave this game help
Playing since a long time ago
So you’re telling me I can shoot the other team, plant bombs, defuse bombs, trash talk with my team mates, miss really easy kills, AND get some free items on top? Im not a competitive multiplayer type of player, but If my friends invite me to a couple of CS matches, I’m always in.
Nintendo Switch Sports [Switch]
Status: I only play this one if people come over
Playing since 2024
Really mixed feeling about this one, on one hand I’ve had a lot of fun playing this game with friends, the controls are solid and overall its a positive experience. However, it lacks Baseball which was one of my favorite sports in the original Wii game, but instead it offers a rather redundant badminton that despite being quite different compared to Tennis, felt like a weird choice when it already had two other “net-based” sports, and by the way, Volleyball controls are way too complicated for a pickup and play scenario. Golf was a pretty good as an update though, and Bowling carries this game big time. Sportsmates do the job but they feel kinda lame.
